Copeland è una rock band americana formatasi nel 2001 a Lakeland, Florida, da Aaron Marsh (voce, chitarra, mellotron, organo e pianoforte) e James Likeness (basso e cori). Il sound originale del gruppo è completato da Bryan Laurenson (chitarra) e Jonathan Bucklew (batteria), entrati a far parte della band dopo l'ex batterista Rusty. Nel 2002 Copeland ha firmato con The Militia Group e nel 2003 ha pubblicato il debutto *Beneath Medicine Tree*. Nel 2005 è uscito *In Motion*, prodotto da Matt Goldman e Aaron Marsh, e mixato da Ken Andrews. L'album includeva un EP acustico con versioni lo-fi di brani tratti da *In Motion* e *Beneath Medicine Tree*. Copeland ha suonato al Cornerstone Florida Festival negli anni 2004, 2005 e 2006. Tra i brani più rappresentativi: *The Son*, *You Are My Sunshine*, *I'm Not Afraid*, *In Motion*.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
