Steve Winwood (né Stephen Lawrence Winwood le 12 mai 1948) est un légendaire musicien britannique connu pour sa carrière polyvalente qui s'étend du rock au blues, en passant par le soul et le jazz. Il a commencé à jouer de la musique à un jeune âge, rejoignant le groupe The Spencer Davis Group à l'âge de 16 ans. Avec eux, il a connu un grand succès dans les années 1960 avec des tubes comme "Gimme Some Lovin'". Après la dissolution du groupe, Winwood s'est joint à Traffic, un groupe psychédélique qui l'a vu composer et interpréter des tubes comme "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" et "Feelin' Alright". En 1969, il a formé Blind Faith avec Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker et Steve Stills, un supergroupe qui a enregistré un album éponyme avant de se séparer. Tout au long des années 1970, Winwood a entamé une carrière solo à succès, lançant des albums comme "Arc of a Diver" (1982) avec le single "Higher Love", et "Back in the High Life" (1986), qui l'a consacré comme l'un des plus grands artistes de son époque. Winwood a reçu de nombreux prix, dont un Grammy Award pour sa carrière musicale.

C'était le 5 avril 1980 quand un groupe inconnu et sans nom a joué dans une église désacralisée de la ville universitaire d'Athens en Géorgie. À peine deux semaines plus tard, ils ont choisi un nom R.E.M. , et ilt ont sortiun single et en 1983 un album "Murmur".

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
