Periphery est un groupe américain de metal progressif formé à Bethesda, dans le Maryland, en 2004. Considérés comme des pionniers du genre djent, leur son se caractérise par des riffs complexes, des rythmes intenses et une utilisation innovante d'effets numériques. La formation actuelle comprend Spencer Sotelo (chant), Misha Mansoor (guitare), Jake Bowsher (basse), Matt Garstka (batterie) et Mark Holcomb (guitare). Periphery a sorti sept albums studio, dont le très acclamé "Periphery III: Select Difficulty" en 2016. Leurs morceaux les plus représentatifs incluent "Scarlet", "Alpha", "Marigold" et "The Way the News Goes".
