Yard Act est un groupe de rock britannique originaire de Leeds, West Yorkshire. Le quatuor, composé de James Smith (chant), Ryan Needham (basse), Sam Shipstone (guitare) et Jay Russell (batterie), se distingue par son son post-punk énergique et incisif, caractérisé par des paroles percutantes et ironiques qui abordent les thèmes sociaux et politiques contemporains. Leur album de début, *The Overload*, est sorti en 2022 et a atteint la deuxième place du classement des albums britanniques. L'album a reçu un accueil critique favorable pour sa fraîcheur et son originalité, faisant de ce groupe l'une des formations les plus intéressantes du paysage musical contemporain. Parmi les titres représentatifs, on peut citer *The Overload*, *Rich* et *100%*.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
