Soilwork è un gruppo musicale svedese di genere melodic death metal, formatosi a Helsingborg nel 1995. Considerati uno dei pionieri del genere, hanno contribuito a definire il sound moderno del melodic death metal con la loro combinazione di riff pesanti, melodie orecchiabili e testi introspettivi. Il gruppo è composto da Björn "Speed" Strid (voce), Peter Wichers (chitarra), Sylvain Coudé (chitarra), Marcus Jidell (basso) e Dirk Verbeuren (batteria). Soilwork ha pubblicato dieci album in studio, tra cui "The Chainheart Machine", "Stabbing the Drama" e "A Predator's Portrait". I loro brani più rappresentativi includono "Ningen", "Let This River Flow" e "As We Speak". Il sont 7, ils ont presque tous la vingtaine, ils aiment le post-rock et aussi expérimenter différents sons. Plus qu'un groupe, Black Country est une communauté.
J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
