John Denver, pseudonimo di Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. (1943-1997), è stato un cantautore e musicista statunitense profondamente legato al genere folk rock. Nato a Roswell, nel New Mexico, Denver ha trascorso la sua infanzia tra il Colorado e l'Arizona, influenzato dalla bellezza naturale del paesaggio occidentale americano che spesso trovava ispirazione nelle sue canzoni.
