Rasco (acronyme de «Realistic, Ambitious, Serious, Cautious, and Organized») est un rappeur américain originaire de San Mateo, Californie. Ses premières enregistrements ont été publiés sur Stones Throw Records. Il fait également partie du groupe de rap Cali Agents avec Planet Asia et collabore souvent avec BT. Rasco se distingue par son style de rap introspectif et poétique, souvent axé sur des thèmes sociaux et personnels. Ses productions sont caractérisées par un son hip hop classique avec des influences jazz et funk. Parmi ses titres les plus représentatifs, on peut citer « The World Is Yours », « Black Gold » et « Cali Agents ».

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
