Saves The Day est un groupe de rock américain formé au New Jersey en 1998. Dirigé par le chanteur et guitariste Chris Conley, le groupe a gagné en popularité dans les années 2000 avec un son emo caractérisé par des mélodies accrocheuses et des paroles introspectives qui abordent des thèmes tels que l'amour, la perte et la recherche d'identité. Parmi leurs albums les plus notables figurent *Through Being Cool* (2001) et *Stay What You Are* (2003). En 2007, ils ont annoncé un album concept en trois parties, commençant par *Sound the Alarm*, suivi de *Under the Boards* en 2007. Le troisième chapitre, *Daybreak*, est toujours attendu par les fans. Saves The Day a collaboré avec des artistes comme Taking Back Sunday et The Used, contribuant à définir l'évolution du genre emo. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
