Drax Project est un groupe musical néo-zélandais formé à Auckland en 2013. Composé de Shaan Patel (chant), Ben Woollacott (guitare, claviers), Sam Thomson (basse) et Jai Waetford (batterie), le groupe a fait ses débuts discographiques en 2014 avec le single "Woke Up Late". Le morceau, qui a atteint la première place des classements néo-zélandais, a obtenu quatre disques de platine en Nouvelle-Zélande. En 2019, ils ont sorti leur album d' estreia éponyme, "Drax Project", qui a atteint la deuxième place du classement néo-zélandais et a reçu un disque d'or. Le groupe est connu pour son son pop-funk caractérisé par des mélodies accrocheuses et des paroles captivantes. Parmi les chansons les plus célèbres en plus de "Woke Up Late" figurent "Catching Feelings", "Switch It Up" et "Mystify".
