Saigon, nom de scène de Brian Daniel Carenard (né le 13 juillet 1977), est un rappeur américain. Élevé à Brooklyn, New York, Saigon a commencé sa carrière musicale au début des années 2000, gagnant rapidement une réputation pour ses rimes complexes et son débit rapide. Son style de rap est influencé par des artistes comme Nas, Jay-Z et Biggie Smalls, mais Saigon réussit à se démarquer avec un flow unique et des paroles souvent introspectives qui explorent des thèmes tels que la vie dans la rue, les difficultés et la recherche du succès. En 2007, il a sorti son album de début "The Greatest Story Ever Told", qui a été bien accueilli par la critique pour sa profondeur et sa maturité. Saigon est également connu pour ses collaborations avec des artistes comme Eminem, Jadakiss et The Alchemist. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
