Lonestar est un groupe de musique country américain formé dans les années 1990. Le groupe, originaire du Texas, a connu le succès national avec des chansons comme «Amazed» et «I'm Already There». La formation originale comprenait Richie McDonald (chant), Dean Sams (claviers, chœurs), Michael Britt (guitare), Keech Rainwater (batterie) et John Rich (basse, chœurs). En 1998, John Rich a quitté le groupe pour se consacrer à une carrière solo. En 2007, Richie McDonald a également quitté le groupe pour se lancer dans une carrière solo, remplacé par Cody Collins. Lonestar est connu pour son son country traditionnel avec des influences pop et des mélodies accrocheuses.
