Blue Scholars est un duo de hip-hop originaire de Seattle, Washington. Le groupe s'est formé en 2002 par le DJ Sabzi et le rappeur MC Geologic alors qu'ils étaient étudiants à l'Université de Washington. Connus pour leurs rimes complexes et leur production sonore innovante, Blue Scholars ont acquis une base de fans fidèle dans tout le Nord-Ouest du Pacifique. Leur style musical fusionne des éléments d'hip-hop classique avec des influences jazz, funk et musique du monde. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
