I woke up in the backseat of my '91 Explorer
Sleeping off a three-day party I barely could recall
I stumbled to the sidewalk, lit the last of a half-broke cigarette
And wondered why I left my home and came down here at all
I had no real connections, just some drugged-out, strung-out losers
And a handful of half-songs no one would ever hear
I couldn't see my future in the bottom of a bottle
I was living in my car, but honey, I was going nowhere
All the loose change in my pockets, and the patches on my jeans
Won't buy away the blues that the world's afforded me
But I'd sell my soul to write a song, to save me from this trip I'm on
'Cause peace of mind is hard to find when you're on a losing streak
Peace of mind is hard to find when you're on a losing streak, yeah
On the brink of mental breakdown, I spent two weeks in the same clothes
Sleeping in the shoes no one wished they were in
Waking up at sundown, on the dark side of the party
I was lost and slipping lower than the low had ever been
All the loose change in my pockets, and the patches on my jeans
Won't buy away the blues that the world's afforded me
But I'd sell my soul to write a song, to save me from this trip I'm on
'Cause peace of mind is hard to find when you're on a losing streak
Peace of mind is hard to find when you're on a losing streak
Peace of mind is hard to find when you're on a losing streak
I said, peace of mind is hard to find when you're on a losing streak, yeah
They say everybody loses, just count your lucky bruises, baby
Gonna let that yellow sunshine wrap its warmth around my mind, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Tra i suoi album più importanti ricordiamo "All American Made" (2017) e "Been To The Mountain" (2023).
