LCD Soundsystem est le projet musical de James Murphy, un musicien et producteur américain né à New York. Actif de 2002 à 2011 puis reformé en 2015, le groupe fusionne des éléments de musique électronique, de rock indépendant et de post-punk, créant un son unique qui a connu un grand succès auprès de la critique et du public. Murphy, influencé par des groupes comme The Fall et New Order, est connu pour ses performances énergiques et ses paroles introspectives qui explorent des thèmes sociaux et personnels. Parmi les chansons les plus représentatives d'LCD Soundsystem figurent "Losing My Edge", "All My Friends" et "Dance Yrself Clean". Leur album éponyme de 2005 est considéré comme un classique du rock indépendant contemporain, tandis que le suivant, "Sound of Silver" (2007), a consolidé la renommée du groupe. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
