Hot Hot Heat è una band canadese di alternative rock formatasi nel 1999. Originariamente con un sound synth-pop, hanno incorporato influenze new wave e post-punk nel corso della loro carriera. Il loro album di debutto, *Make Up The Breakdown* (2002), pubblicato dopo la firma con Sub Pop, ha riscosso grande successo critico. Nel 2005 sono passati a Warner Bros., ma il loro album major label, *Elevator* (2005), è stato accolto con recensioni contrastanti e vendite scarse.
