Deicide è una band di death metal americana formatasi nel 1987 a Tampa, Florida. Considerati uno dei pilastri del genere, sono noti per le loro sonorità brutali e blasfeme, con testi che affrontano temi satanici e anti-religiosi. Il gruppo è composto da Glenn Benton (voce, basso), Andy LaRocque (chitarra), Taylor Nordberg (batteria) e Mark English (chitarra). I primi due album, "Deicide" (1990) e "Legion" (1992), sono considerati pietre miliari del death metal e hanno venduto milioni di copie. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "Dead by Dawn", "Sacrificial Suicide" e "When Satan Lives in Me". Deicide ha collaborato con artisti come Cannibal Corpse e Morbid Angel, contribuendo a definire l'estetica e la cultura del death metal degli anni '90.
