Papoose, de son vrai nom Shamele Mackie, est un rappeur américain né à Brooklyn, New York. Actif depuis 2001, Papoose se distingue par ses rimes complexes et rapides, souvent caractérisées par une forte composante narrative. Il a collaboré avec des artistes comme Busta Rhymes, Remy Ma et Snoop Dogg. Parmi ses albums les plus notables figurent "The Papiest Rapper Alive" (2006) et "The 2nd Coming" (2014).
