Mike Doughty è un cantautore e musicista statunitense nato a New York nel 1965. Noto per il suo stile musicale eclettico che fonde folk, rock alternativo, hip hop e jazz, Doughty ha costruito una solida reputazione come artista indipendente. Iniziò la sua carriera negli anni '90 con la band Soul Coughing, raggiungendo un notevole successo con album come "Ruby Vroom" (1994) e "Stairs and Elevators" (1998).
