Esham, de son vrai nom Rashaam Attica Smith, est un rappeur américain actif depuis 1989. Connu pour son style de hip hop qu'il appelle "acid rap", Esham fusionne des rythmes influencés par le rock avec des paroles qui abordent des thèmes controversés comme le suicide, la mort, les drogues, la violence, la paranoïa et le sexe. Sa musique présente souvent une tonalité sombre et troublante, caractérisée par un flow agressif et des rimes complexes. Parmi ses albums les plus notables figurent "Closed Chapters" (1992) et "The World is a Ghetto" (1994). Esham est considéré comme l'un des pionniers du acid rap, influençant des générations de rappeurs underground.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
