Jay Wayne Jenkins, connu dans le monde entier sous le nom de Young Jeezy, est un rappeur et acteur américain né à Atlanta, en Géorgie, en 1977. Il a commencé sa carrière musicale dans les années 1990 sous le nom de Lil' J, mais a trouvé le succès international sous le pseudonyme de Young Jeezy. Son style de rap, caractérisé par des rimes agressives et des paroles souvent centrées sur la vie difficile des rues d'Atlanta, a contribué à définir l'hip-hop du sud des États-Unis. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
