Dream Theater est un groupe américain de metal progressif formé en 1985. Considéré comme l'un des groupes les plus influents du genre, il est connu pour ses performances live énergiques et ses chansons complexes qui combinent des éléments de rock progressif, de fusion jazz et de métal. Le groupe a publié plus de dix albums studio, dont "Images and Words" (1992), "Awake" (1994) et "Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory" (1998). Dream Theater est composé de James LaBrie (chant), John Petrucci (guitare), John Myung (basse), Jordan Rudess (claviers) et Mike Mangini (batterie). Parmi leurs chansons les plus représentatives figurent "Pull Me Under", "The Dance of Eternity" et "Octavarium".

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
