The Walkmen sono un gruppo musicale indie rock statunitense formatosi a New York nel 2000. Composti da Hamilton Leithauser (voce), Paul Maroon (chitarra), Matt Barrick (batteria), Walter Martin (tastiere) e Peter Bauer (basso), hanno raggiunto una certa notorietà negli anni 2000 grazie al loro sound caratterizzato da melodie orecchiabili, testi introspettivi e un'atmosfera dark. Tra i loro album più apprezzati figurano "Bows + Arrows" (2004) e "You and Me" (2008). Il gruppo si è sciolto nel 2014 dopo una lunga carriera segnata da tour intensi e collaborazioni con artisti come The National. Tra i brani più rappresentativi di The Walkmen ricordiamo "The Rat", "Angela Surf City", "In the New Year" e "We've Been Had".
