Trillville est un groupe de hip-hop américain originaire d'Atlanta, en Géorgie. Le groupe s'est formé en 1997 alors que ses membres fréquentaient encore l'école. Dirty Mouth se consacrait à l'écriture de rimes, Don P rappait et produisait des rythmes au piano, tandis que Lil LA était un promoteur aspirant qui est devenu plus tard rappeur. Initialement, Lil LA soutenait le groupe en tant que manager avant de rejoindre officiellement Trillville. Leur succès est arrivé en 2005 avec l'album "The Long Game", qui a atteint la 14e place du classement Billboard 200 grâce au single "Neva Eva". D'autres titres représentatifs du groupe incluent "It's a Trill Thang" et "Party Like It's 1999". Trillville est connu pour son style de hip-hop énergique et amusant, souvent caractérisé par des paroles qui célèbrent la vie nocturne et l'amitié.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
