Sea Wolf est le projet musical d'Alex Brown Church, un auteur-compositeur-interprète indie rock originaire de Los Angeles, Californie. Après avoir fréquenté l'école de cinéma de la NYU, Church a fondé le groupe Irving en 1998. Beaucoup des chansons qu'il a écrites pendant cette période ne correspondaient pas au style du groupe, alors il a commencé à se produire sous le nom de Sea Wolf avec un ensemble tournant de musiciens d'accompagnement, jouant localement à Los Angeles et enregistrant des démos à Seattle avec le producteur Phil Ek (Band of Horses, The Shins, Fleet Foxes). En 2007, il a signé chez Dangerbird Records, lançant l'EP *Get To The River Before It Runs Too Low* et l'album complet *Leaves In The River*, qui a atteint la 24e place du classement Billboard Heatseekers. Parmi les chansons les plus représentatives de Sea Wolf, on peut citer *You're a Wolf*, *The Violet Hour* et *Broken City*.

C'était le 5 avril 1980 quand un groupe inconnu et sans nom a joué dans une église désacralisée de la ville universitaire d'Athens en Géorgie. À peine deux semaines plus tard, ils ont choisi un nom R.E.M. , et ilt ont sortiun single et en 1983 un album "Murmur".

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
