Les Popes sont un groupe musical irlandais formé autour de Shane MacGowan, l'ancien leader des The Pogues. Le groupe fusionne des éléments de rock, de folk traditionnel irlandais et de punk, créant un son unique et reconnaissable. MacGowan, connu pour sa voix puissante et ses paroles poétiques souvent sombres, a poursuivi sa carrière musicale avec les Popes après la dissolution des Pogues en 1996.
