Spooks était un groupe hip-hop/R and B actif à la fin des années 1990. Après avoir connu le succès en Europe avec leur album S.I.O.S.O.S., Vol. 1, Spooks a connu un grand succès avec le single "Things I've Seen" (présent dans le film de Laurence Fishburne Once in the Life). Water-Water a quitté le groupe avant leur deuxième album Faster Than You Know et est décédé dans un accident de voiture peu avant sa sortie. Le groupe s'est dissous peu après, sans plus d'informations sur les membres. En 2009, Ming Xia est apparu sur l'album Fish Outta Water de Chali 2na.
