Ben Folds Five è stato un trio indie rock statunitense formatosi negli anni '90, composto da Ben Folds (tastiere e voce), Robert Sledge (basso) e Darren Jessee (batteria). Il gruppo ha raggiunto il successo con un sound caratterizzato da melodie orecchiabili, testi introspettivi e arrangiamenti che mescolavano elementi di pop, rock alternativo e musica classica. Tra i loro brani più famosi figurano "Brick", "The Luckiest" e "One Angry Dwarf and 2000 Mice". Ben Folds Five ha pubblicato tre album in studio: "Whatever and Ever Amen" (1995), "Rockin' the Suburbs" (1998) e "The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner" (2000). J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
