Carlos Rico Walker, mieux connu sous le nom de Shawty Lo, était un rappeur américain né à Atlanta, en Géorgie, le 19 août 1980. Il est connu pour son style de rap agressif et ses paroles souvent provocatrices. Il a atteint la renommée nationale en 2006 avec le single "Dey Know", qui a atteint la troisième place du classement Billboard Hot Rap Songs. Lo était également membre du groupe de hip-hop D4L, connu pour le succès "Laffy Taffy". Shawty Lo a sorti plusieurs albums au cours de sa carrière, notamment "Units in the Street" (2007) et "The Price of Fame" (2010). Sa musique traitait souvent de thèmes liés à la vie de rue, à la violence et aux relations. Shawty Lo est décédé tragiquement le 20 septembre 2016 suite à un accident de voiture.
