Buffy Sainte-Marie, all'anagrafe Beverly Sainte-Marie, è una cantautrice e attivista canadese nata nel 1941. Considerata un'icona della musica folk e indigena, ha raggiunto fama internazionale negli anni '60 con brani come "Universal Soldier" e "Now That the Buffalo's Gone". La sua musica si caratterizza per testi impegnati contro la guerra, il razzismo e le ingiustizie sociali.
