UTFO (qui signifie Untouchable Force Organization) était un groupe de hip-hop old school des années 1980, mentoré par le groupe R and B contemporain Full Force. Le groupe était composé de Kangol Kid (Shiller Shaun Fequiere), Educated Rapper (Jeffrey Campbell) (également connu sous le nom d'EMD), Doctor Ice (Fred Reeves) et Mix Master Ice (Maurice Bailey). Leur single le plus célèbre est "Roxanne, Roxanne", un classique du hip-hop largement acclamé qui a créé une sensation sur la scène hip-hop peu après sa sortie et a inspiré de nombreux disques de réponse, notamment celui de la protégée de Marley Marl, Roxanne Shante. "Roxanne, Roxanne" était à l'origine le côté B du single moins connu "Hangin' Out". En raison de problèmes personnels, Educated Rapper a manqué leur deuxième effort, *Skeezer Pleezer* (1986), qui a produit une chanson notable avec la chanson "Split Personality". En 2008, leur single Roxanne, Roxanne a été classé numéro 84 dans le classement des 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop de VH1.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
