Relient K est un groupe américain de rock chrétien formé en 1998 à Canton, dans l'Ohio. La formation originale comprenait Matthew Thiessen (guitare, piano), Brian Pittman (basse) et Matt Hoopes (guitare). Ils ont gagné en popularité dans les années 2000 avec leur son énergique et mélodique qui fusionne des éléments de punk rock, power pop et rock alternatif. Parmi leurs albums les plus notables figurent "Two Lefts Don't Make a Right... But Three Do" (2003) et "Mmhmm" (2005). Les chansons comme "Who I Am Hates Who I've Been", "Be My Escape" et "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" sont devenues des succès auprès des fans de musique chrétienne. Relient K a été l'une des groupes les plus influents du mouvement emo chrétien des années 2000.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
