Angela Martínez, connue professionnellement sous le nom d'Angie Martinez, est une rappeuse et DJ américaine d'origine portoricaine. Née à New York en 1972, elle a commencé sa carrière musicale dans les années 1990 comme animatrice radiophonique pour Hot 97. Sa voix puissante et son style de rap incisif ont rapidement attiré l'attention du public, la poussant à collaborer avec des artistes renommés tels que Jay-Z, Nas et Big Pun. En 1996, elle a sorti son album de début "Queen of the South", un succès commercial qui l'a établie comme l'une des voix les plus importantes du paysage hip hop féminin. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
