George Thorogood and The Destroyers sono un gruppo musicale statunitense di blues rock formatosi a Wilmington, Delaware, negli anni '70. Il gruppo è guidato dal chitarrista e cantante George Thorogood (nato il 24 febbraio 1950), noto per la sua potente voce roca e le sue abilità chitarristiche influenzate dal blues classico. I Destroyers sono diventati famosi per i loro brani energici, spesso reinterpretando classici del blues come "Move It On Over" di Hank Williams e "House Rent Boogie/One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" di John Lee Hooker. Il loro successo più grande è stato il singolo "Bad to the Bone", diventato un'icona del genere blues rock. Tra gli album più importanti si ricordano "George Thorogood and The Destroyers" (1977) e "Move It On Over" (1982). La band ha pubblicato 16 album in studio, cinque dei quali certificati oro, contribuendo al successo dell'etichetta discografica Rounder Records.
